SiteReady is operated by Pieter du Toit, a sole proprietor trading as SiteReady. This notice explains how we handle personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What we collect and why
We collect company details, names, email addresses, phone numbers, passwords (stored as a hash), sites, jobs, stock, supplier prices and site photos. We use them to run your company workspace: sign-in, load lists, stock, crew roles, billing and support. We do not sell personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep the information while the company account is open. If the owner deletes the company, that company's rows are removed. You can also ask the information officer to delete personal information where the law allows it. Password reset links expire after one hour and are stored only as a hash. Billing records may be kept for as long as tax law requires. Cancelling a subscription does not by itself delete your sites, jobs or photos. That is also explained in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Where it is hosted
The app is hosted on Vercel and the database is hosted on Neon. Both are in the United States. Sending personal information there is a cross-border transfer. We do it so the app can run. POPIA section 72 requires that the information stays subject to comparable protection, a binding agreement, or your consent. By registering, you agree to this transfer for the purpose of hosting SiteReady. Photos are stored in the database, not on a separate file service.
Your rights
You can ask the information officer for access to your personal information, for a correction, or for deletion where the law allows it. You can object to a use that is not required to run the account. You can lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator at https://inforegulator.org.za.
PayFast processes card payments. We do not store card numbers. PayFast's own terms apply to the card debit.
